A code segment that replicates by attaching copies of itself to existing executables. The new copy of the virus is executed when a user executes the new host program. The virus may include an additional “payload” that triggers when specific conditions are met.

How to avoid virus attack

Install antivirus or anti-malware software. Keep your antivirus software up to date.

Run antivirus scans regularly.

Try running it at night when the computer is idle. Because we usually turn our devices off at night, we tend to overlook scans. Set the antivirus software to run on a specific night and only leave the computer on at that time.
